I guess the answer depends on how detailed you want the monitoring to be. Our requirements are not very mission critical, so we have been using "What's Up Gold" It allows you to map out your networks and setup various monitors, alarms, actions, etc. based upon your network requirements. It's not the strongest package out there, but it does enough for our applications. We are looking into a number of different products right now like Argent Guardian (http://www.argent.com/products/guardian/). Is anyone currently using this product or have any experience (good or bad) with it? Is anyone using a competitive product (NetIQ / MOM (snicker)), and would you recommend it? ____________________ FRANK WAKELIN NETWORK ANALYST Email: fwakelin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx BORDEN LADNER GERVAIS LLP WE INTEND THIS ELECTRONIC MAIL MESSAGE ONLY FOR THE PERSON OR ENTITY NAMED IN THE ADDRESSEE FIELD.
