New message notification, but no message

Hi all
We have SBS 2000. My users get the yellow envelope in the taskbar, but
when they click on it, they get "the message was either deleted or it
doesn't exist"
It is almost as if Exchange delivers the message to the mailbox, but
Symantec Corporate deletes it. (It seems to be either viruses or content
scanning)
I thought Symantec Corporate would stop the meassage before it even
reaches the mailbox.
My logs tell me close to nothing, and we receive so many viruses, I
disabled the alert from Symantec, and don't use the quarintine option.
