You can try deleting the account folder in the documents en settings
folder on that XP System.
And deleting the profile in the XP system, reboot en try again..

Has anybody seen an error like this and have any idea what might be
going on with a Win XP machine trying to connect to the Exchange Server
and getting this response?

Outlook keeps blinking in the tray, below, "requesting information" from

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Sending' reported error (0x80040115) :
'The operation could not be completed because you are working offline or
because of an error on the network. Try to connect to the network again,
and then repeat the operation.'
