RE: Need help configuring Exchange 2k server to receive internet mail...

This will come across as a novice type question but here goes. I've got
2 host records created in my internal DNS; one for the server's Netbios
name and the other for "mail", or mail.nubiint.com. I currently have MX
records created for each of these. Now I'm sure this is NOT the way to
do this, so my question is which MX record do I keep?

Have you contacted Bellsouth and made sure they are not blocking port 25
on their routers, many ISP's have started to do this if you do not have
a business class account with them.

I've followed the documented procedures as follows:
Default SMTP Virtual Server
General Tab: IP Address - All Unassigned; Enable Logging checked Access
Tab: untouched Messages Tab: untouched Delivery Tab: FQDN:
mail.nubiint.com
Configure: Bellsouth, ISP, DNS Servers; TZO DNS Servers Ports
Forwarded: 25

Current Status: can send mail out. Unable to receive.

He'll be telnetting to port 25, therefore port 23 does not need to be
open.
