Ok, cool you moved those mailboxes using 'move mailbox' feature.

Well, when I did that, I needed to put a lmhost file, because the
owa belonged to a DMZ and there was no way for it solve the name server. It
needs to know the name server (and solve it) where the user is homed.

When I installed it, I did it on my desk, so, it could find
whichever server it wanted. When I moved the server to the DMZ, I had some
problems. You need to check some registries keys too, but I think you've
already done that, because you have one working fine.

Hello,

Yes...we used the "Move Mailbox" feature. The new server is in a different
location, hence on different network configurations (ip subnet, etc.). The
domain remains the same though.

Doesn't the OWA function off a "virtual exchange server" within the Exch 2k
environment? We have it setup on the original exch 2k box that way via IIS
Admin.

Thanks,

S

        Hi there.

Some things you should check, may be it will help you.

When you said you've moved some users to the new server, you meant
"move mailbox" or deleted the user and created in the new one?. I ask this
because if the new server belongs to a new site, you sure will have some
problems.

Is the web server in a dmz? If so, you should try to check if the
owa can access the new server (sometimes you need to put a lmhosts file
there.

If the new users belong to a different domain, you should try to
check if owa can validate an user, it probably can.

        Regards

Subject: [exchangelist] Need Help with getting OWA to work on 2nd
Exchange 2k server

http://www.MSExchange.org/

So we have an exchange server in one office that's been working great. We
just pulled up a second exchange server in another office and moved some
mailboxes over from one server to the other. Now, those users whose
mailboxes were moved to the new exch server can no longer access their
mail through OWA. They get the password screen, and then page not found
browser message.

The first exchange server has ssl setup. The second one does not. That's
the only thing I can think of. Any recommendations as to what I should be
looking for in the settings on the new Exchange server to get OWA working
again for mailboxes currently on that server?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Sunny
