RE: NDR from old user when sending internal to new user

Is there a chance someone is playing with an old Exch 5.5 server, maybe
restoring a mailbox from years gone by, and has the ADC running?  I'm
not sure if that would cause the described behavior, but I'd guess it
would make for a bad day.

No forwarding rule that I can find, the only thing is my exch 5.5 SA was
fired up and I am not sure how, I disabled it about 3 months ago. Maybe
one of my tech is playing around.

Did someone set up a forwarding rule to a user or distribution list that
no longer exists in personal address book?

Hello All,

I have a strange problem, when some of my users send internal email to
one a user they get an NDR stating that a differant user does not exist,
ex.
user A send email to mkowatch user A gets an ndr stating lmalm is not a
valid user. Lmalm is a user that left the company over a year ago and
this just started a couple of weeks ago.

System is Exch 2k3 sp2 on windows 2k3 sp1 migrated from nt 4.0 exch 5.5.
