Re: Moving mailboxes from 2003 Enterprise to 2003 Standard - possible?

I don't believe ADU&C and ESM use the exact same code for two reasons:

1)  When you move mailboxes from ADU&C and ESM, the move mailbox
wizzard gives a slightly diffferent interface for each tool.  With
ADU&C, the number of mailboxes you see on the pull down list is only
about half the available mail databases when run with a full
complement of Storage Groups and databases.  I.e. 19 mail databases. 
With ESM, you see all the available databases.

2)  When I call Microsoft about a problem I had with moving mailboxes,
they asked which method I used.  When I questioned them about being
the same the tech replied yes they are basically the same.

These two incidents lead me to believe there are some differeneces in
the move mailbox function between the two tools.

I agree with your other points.
