On that note,
If I publish the RPC access , what do I do the profile, i.e. I
want one profile to know about 10.0.0.10 and 65.70.xxx.xxx ... Or will I
need to run 2 profiles?

                Thanks for the response.;)

Hi Ryan,

They are incorrect. What about ISA Server firewall's Exchange RPC
publishing? Its not vulnerable to known RPC exploits and external users
Outlook inside the network or outside the network in the same way. Its
completely transparent and very cool. Every customer I've set it up with
has been extremely happy with the results because they never need to
reconfigure Outlook. Just open Outlook, no matter where they are, and it
works.

Cool.

HTH,
Tom

Subject: [exchangelist] Mobile Users - Exc2003 update

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Just got off the phone with Microsoft (2 hours and 4 tekkies)and they
have
confirmed that there is no support in Exchange2003 for mobile users
other
than:

a: using OWA
b: using outlook2003 RPC

So if you have teleworkers using outlook 97-2002 (e.g. everyone as
office2003 is beta) forget upgrading to server 2003 in the forseable
future as it wont work. The only 'workaround' they can advise is a
tedious
VPN solution which the means the user has to recreate the outlook
profile
prior to each and every login.

So much for progress!

Thought I'd let you all know.

Ryan
