If you do this before the recipient update service runs, then 'no' emails show up, not even the external SMTP addie. I struggle with the same thing. I basically just have to wait for the update service, then go take out my 'domain' email addresses and then uncheck that box. -Jason -----Original Message----- From: Periyasamy, Raj [mailto:Raj.Periyasamy@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, April 15, 2005 9:29 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Mail-enabled Contacts in 2K3 http://www.MSExchange.org/ Dan, You can uncheck the option, and Remove the Internal email addresses from the object. No need to run RUS. HTH. If I uncheck the box, what do I have to do to remove that address (and leave the proper external one: run RUS? What I'd really like is a way to set a recipient Policy so that any new Contact is created only with his/her external address. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: raj.periyasamy@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: JLehrhoff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx The HealthCare Chaplaincy is a multifaith community of professionals from many cultures dedicated to caring for persons in spirit, mind, and body.
