Hi hope someone can assist
I am migrating users from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 cross site
using exmerge in batch mode. However, I have come across a problem with
calendar entries that were created before the migration of a user took
place.

If a user is on 5.5 and makes creates an appointment in a calendar and
then that user is migrated from 5.5 to 2003, then when that user tries
to amend the entry they are denied access. Looking at the permissions on
the calendar folder for the mailbox where the appointment was placed
which is still on 5.5 then the explicit permission settings of the users
migrated show up as X500 addresses. Adding an X500 address to the
migrated users proxy addresses makes no difference. What I have found
that I need to do is change the default permission to Owner to allow
this to work.

This is not a good solution and I would like some thoughts on a better
one.

Thanks
