Richard,

Create a mailbox for the person in question with your companies e-mail
address. Also create a Custom Recipient that points to the external e-mail
address(generally with a different name - such as zzzFirst Last) - this
keeps users from seeing multiple listings for the same person in the GAL.
In the original mailbox, under delivery options, select to have all messages
forwarded to the 'zzz' custom recipient. This will allow messages to come
into your company for that person and then be forwarded out without having
to relay off of your servers.

I need to be able to forward mail sent to a particular Exchange recipient
running on SBS 2000. I know that mail relay is dissabled by default, my
problem is being able to forward mail from any source for this particular
recipient to a different external domain without opening up Exchange to 3rd
party open mail relay (hope this makes sense) any advice would be much
appreciated.

Rick Parsons.
