That particular message is what I would expect (with the exception of the formal 'our message part'). Since the domain doesn't exist, it could not deliver the message. It could not communicate with the intended recipient's host, so it bounced the message. I would have expected it to come back without bouncing the IMS, however. Subject: Sent: 3/4/04 8:46 PM The following recipient(s) could not be reached: 'u6eaZAKZk@xxxxxxxxxxx' on 3/4/04 8:53 PM Unable to deliver the message due to a communications failure The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=US;a= ;p=Interfresh;l=E_SERVER-040304184619Z-4 MSEXCH:IMS:Interfresh:EXCHANGE:E_SERVER 3902 (000B099C) Host Unknown All the messages in the queue are returned. I am puzzled. In this case I put a ficticious address for test purposes. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------
