Well it looks like it was just corruption, this what I did

1. ran eseutil /mh e:\program files\mdbdata\exchsrvr did not work had
to change path to progra~1
2. after running told me my database was inconsistent
3. tried to then restore from veritas (MS tech notes said that its
better to restore then run esutil /p)
4. had problems restoring, kept getting access denied
5. changed rights by right click on database inside system manager
added backup account ( I don't think that solved it)
6. stopped exchange store deleted edb and log files (I think this was
my issue)
7. started exchange store service and restore went great
8. went to sleep at 3.30 morning that was the best part

This could be an antivirus issue.

Ensure that your antivirus has not been configured to scan the exchange
folders. If that is the case check your quarantine folder to recover the
file. Lets know the update

I too faced this problem when I removed log files from exchange server.
Replace the log files back into the same folder.

Thanks & Regards

I think my exchange server is missing some vital files, it is not mounting
the store and I am not getting

any m drive. I got this message from event viewer any suggestions on how to
proceed would be appreciated.

I also restarted services and rebooted with no success

Information Store (2720) Database E:\Program
Files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb requires logfiles 41685-41688 in order to
recover successfully.

Recovery could only locate logfiles up to 41687.

Thanks Jeff
