John, acouple fo points to consider. 1. Exchange 5.5 does not have much shelf life left. 2. With the planning of putting in new hw/sw you could probably justify the cost of migrating to E2K3, which RBL functionality built in. It goes on the premise that if a user's SMTP is not registered in AD, then the mail is for all practical purposes treated as SPAM and discarded. Plus some neat features are coming with E2K3 SP1. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Mason" <John.Mason.Jr@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "[ExchangeList]" <exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2004 3:51 PM Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Installing a second Exchange 5.5 server in our DMZ > http://www.MSExchange.org/ > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Greg Hermida [mailto:ghermida@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > > Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2004 2:52 PM > > To: [ExchangeList] > > Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Installing a second Exchange 5.5 > > server in our DMZ > > > > > > http://www.MSExchange.org/ > > > > I may still have to go through the pain.
