Subject: [exchangelist] Immediate NDR delivery failure

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hello everyone,

I have encountered a very unique situation. I am running exchange server

5.5 with service pack 4. I am receiving the following error when my
users send email to one specific domain (in this case AOL).

This is the error received, " The recipient was unavailable to take
delivery of the message "

What's interesting about this message, is that it is not DNS related. My

server was an open relay, but that has been corrected and the server's
IP has been removed from all the DNS block lists around including AOL. I
also know it is not related to a full mailbox, as my users can receive
email. My users can send and receive email to everywhere else except
AOL. Another interesting thing, is when I examine the e-mail header on
the returned
message, it is blank (Listing no internet addresses or servers) which
leads me to believe the problem is within the exchange server itself.

Has any one ever experienced this??? If so, I would love to hear how you

corrected it.

Thanks,
Tom Avery
