IPM.Note fix error

I was wondering if anyone else had applied the hotfix for article 817809.
This was posted last week and deals with SMTP messages to public folders as
class IPM.Post instead of IPM.Note. I installed the hotfix, added the
registry key, and rebooted the server. I tried sending a test message to a
public folder I just mail enabled and it still shows up as a post. Am I
doing something wrong perhaps or is this another M$ fix that's broke out of
the box.
