Check that the SA account and Local Admin group accounts have full
permissions to registry key referenced in this KB - which may solve it: <g>

Subject: [exchangelist] IMS error

One of my Exchange 5.5 SP4 servers is giving me an error that I can't get to
the bottom of. When I try to open the IMS properties of this server, I get
an error dialog stating:

Extension 'SMTP' could not be loaded.
A problem occurred with the extension .dll file, possibly due to a memory
shortage. Close some applications or windows, and try again.

The solution listed under the only KB article to refer to this specific
error (KB324332) does not apply in this case. Can anyone provide any insight
on this one?
