mmmm.....I was hoping that IMF was going to trap those Viagra type messages but perhaps it won't - probably my lack of understanding. Although the co. is using Sophos they are not using the AntiSpam part of Pure Message as all the junk is forwarded to Administrator anyway. My point really is that an error is being reported (saying a message will not be filtered) and it's the type that I want filtered. I guess I need to do some more reading up on IMF !! If there away that you are able to report things as spam or add things as spam to the IMF or is it just through the junk filters in outlook? Simon -----Original Message----- From: Simon Bound [mailto:Simon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 04 November 2005 14:55 To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: IMF[Scanned] http://www.MSExchange.org/ No just occasionally. BUT I am still getting the Viagra type messages let through which I would have thought IMF would stop. Simon Whale http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=7515&eventno=6416&source=MSEx changeTransport&phase=1 -----Original Message----- From: Simon Bound [mailto:simon.bound@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 04 November 2005 11:15 To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] IMF[Scanned] http://www.MSExchange.org/ Having installed Exch SP2 I thought I'd start using IMF and have turned it on per readme's etc. Other servers I look after IMF seemes to be working ok. However on one server I find that the Mailroot/vs1/UseArchive folder was not created and I have manually created it. Now I have a warning in the event log as follows (somewhat precied) -: MSExchangeTransport event id 7515. An error occurred while Microsoft Exchange IMF attempted to filter a message with the id hex etc From / To etc. This message will not be filtered. The error code is 0x800710f0. Can anyone point me in the direction to troubleshoot as I'd like to make best use of IMF. I did restart the IS after implementing IMF.
