Use the recent IM client software. try installing Windows Messenger ver 4.6 for 
each client

Subject: [exchangelist] IM Authentication fails

Hi All,
         I'm using E2K with SP3 installed with Microsoft Chat service. I try
to login to IM the authentication fails. I searched the Knowledge base tried
all the possible solutions found in KB, everything seems to be Ok, but still
it the authentication doesn't happens. No Errors in the Event logs. I have
no clue how to resolve this. 

 Could somebody please help me on this.
