CV and Edward,

Thanks for the replies. After reading up on ESEUTIL I decided to call
Microsoft to discuss this procedure with them before running. Support actually
thinks there is a hotfix to correct this problem without running ESEUTIL. I
hope they are correct. It is a hotfix to update store.exe to version
6.0.5770.4. I have not applied it yet so do not know for sure that this is the
fix but will inform you in a few days if the problem goes away.

Thanks again,

Rodney

You must act realy fast.
I had this problem and was very hard to recover the database.
Try to run ESEUTIL.
Be very carefull and make a offline backup of the databases.
You can damage the database with ESEUTIL and yo will not be able to
recover.

Subject: [exchangelist] Event ID 1115 - Please help

http://www.MSExchange.org/

I have begun to have several users reporting intermittent problems
accessing mail through Outlook and have been seeing an Event ID 1115 on
my Exchange 2000 server. The text of the message is as follows:

Error 0xfffffae2 returned from closing database table, called from
function JTAB_BASE::EcCloseTable on table 2-362B3.

Microsoft's site on this issue says:

Explanation
The internal pages of the table may be corrupted. You may or may not be
able to find the exact cause of this corruption. User Action Contact
Microsoft Product Support Services.

Has anyone else seen this problem or have any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks,
