Found it the answer at isaserver.org sorry for the post -----Original Message----- From: David V. Dellanno Sent: Friday, November 15, 2002 10:41 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] How to set the Exchange computer name to a FQDN http://www.MSExchange.org/ I am testing to use ISA2000 to publish Exchange RPC, and I have read an article in technet stating "...When communicating with the Exchange Server, the Outlook client specifies the fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Exchange Server. The Exchange Server responds to the client, specifying its internal name-which typically differs from the FQDN. When the client next communicates, it attempts to use the internal name-which is not recognized over the Internet. To work around this issue, you should set the Exchange Server computer's internal name to the same name as its FQDN. " But the article does not explain how to change the name. I'm alittle confused, any help would be appreciated Thanks, Dave Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
