If you are running Windows 2003 based AD, you can apply a GPO to the
students, and implement a Software Restriction Policy, and prevent them
from executing Outlook.exe.

Subject: [exchangelist] How to prevent some users from using the outlook
fat client?

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi,

I am currently installing exchange 2003 for a school. The teachers
should be able to use the Outlook fat client, but the students should
only be allowed to use OWA.

I know it is possible to disable Outlook fat usage on a user level (this
is being done in the hosted exchange solution) but I can't find any
information about it.

Does someone know how to disable Outlook fat client usage on a user
level?

Kind regards,

Dennis Appelboom
