this might just be a browser setting.
If you are using IE6 then check the security settings. It might be set to 
always prompt for username and password. you can change this to use the current 
username and password.

Complete newbie, so any kind of help is appreciated.
User logs into intranet website, with username and password.
We then want to check his Exchange Inbox, to see how many NEW emails s/he
has and display this on the webpage.
Example: Welcome to the company portal, John Smith. 
You have 5 new emails.
The weather is...
The traffic is...
blah blah...

If he then clicks on the 5 new emails (hyperlink), he will then be taken
to OWA.
But the issue is that he should not have to log onto OWA just to check if
he has new emails....
