You can make customizations with the GAL by modifying the schema and
adsiedit. It may be possible for what you're trying to do, you're going
to have to dig into the schema to locate the properties for the GAL and
play around to see if you can change it.

When i go to my global address list and i search for an employee, by
default it shows their name field, business phone field, office field,
title, company, etc etc.....
Is there a way to change these default settings? So that i may set the
first field to extension perhaps so that the GAL may also be used as a
reference point for users extension numbers etc???
