How to calculate the message latency?

Hi!
I am new to the Exchange Server.
I am supposed to test the time taken for the message received by the
receipient from the time message sent by the sender.
Is there any tool which keeps track of the message sent and message
delivery time and even confirmation that the message delivered.
I am using the LoadSim to stress the Exchange server 2003.
While stressing i want to know the message loss along with the message
latency.
can anyone tell me the best tool to Stress the Exchange apart from the
LoadSim.I want to have the delivery confirmation as well for a particular
mail and want to know to which sender the mail its sending.
