The problem is that the IS is about 45G in size. I defragged it in October last year bring it down from 48G to 40G. I can't really do any better than that. -----Original Message----- From: Lorie Gordon [mailto:lgordon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2003 10:26 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Help http://www.MSExchange.org/ Sounds like it might be time to defrag your information store. -----Original Message----- From: Juan Ibarra [mailto:jibarra@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2003 11:14 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Help http://www.MSExchange.org/ Agree, but I was able to restore fine on one tape only and the catalog only took about 8 minutes. -----Original Message----- From: John Tolmachoff [mailto:jtolmachoff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2003 9:08 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Help http://www.MSExchange.org/ Might be time to clean the server up to reduce the backup size. I have exchange 5.5 running on windows 2000 Ad. Server. I use veritas back up exec for backups. The problem is that about a week ago my backup started spanning two tapes. It no longer fits in one and I have to insert a second tape. Is a single, external, AIT drive. Now when I try to do a restore to a standby server the catalog job takes about 4 hours and when doing the restore I get a red X on the IS and it tells me that it is corrupted. I never get ask for the second tape which I know has part of the IS. Please help me.
