Hi Raji,
Sounds very strange. But, I assume, it could be something to do with the
ANSI and Unicode format of OST file. In Outlook 2003, cached mode the
OST file is a Unicode file. When you create a contact using Outlook
2003, you actually write the information to your PST file and it
replicates back to the server. Whereas in Outlook 2000 you write direct
to the server. If you are running Outlook in cached mode and see this
problem, try to turn off cache mode and run in Online mode. Are you able
re produce the problem. Have you applied the Office 2003 SP1 to Outlook
2003 ?

Subject: [exchangelist] Funny Contacts/DL display

Using Exchange Server 2003 SP1 with Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003
We use shared contacts in a Public Folder.
If a User creates a Distribution list in the Contacts with Outlook 2000
Outlook 2003 SP1 adds an entry, and then views it with Outlook 2000, the

email address details is displayed correctly. If then a user uses
2003 to view the same it displays correctly, but when the original user
views this in
Outlook 2000 the second time around the details are displayed
incorrectly with only
a single character displayed.
Anyone seen this? Fix available.?
