Free/busy information in calendar

Hi folks,
the free/busy information for ressources like beamers etc should be visible
in the calendar. Only one user should administer these ressources. All other
user should only have read permissions for these ressources in their
calendars. A public folder should not be used, because the free/busy
information is should only be seen in one site. How can this be
accomplished?
System is Exchange 5.5 SP4, Outlook 2000
