Thanks I'll take a look at the links.

The last error entries in the log are as follows:

Subject: [exchangelist] Failed Exchange 2003 install

http://www.MSExchange.org/

I have tried to install Exchange 2003 onto a Windows 2000 server running
sp4. It is currently running MDaemon.
I didn't want to uninstall MDaemon in case something went wrong so I
disabled its services.

I checked all the things in the check list were in place and ForestPrep
and
DomainPrep ran without error. When running the final install it gets 80%
through and then returns with an error :

"Setup failed while installing-sub component information store service
with
error code 0x80072030 (please consult the installation logs for a
detailed
description) You may cancel the setup or try the failed step again"

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect. There is no
mention
of any Exchange related things in Active Directory users and computers.
I
haven't as yet looked at it using one of the "raw" editors as I wouldn't
know what to look for!

Although there is not a huge amount of space on the system drive, there
is
more than 1Gb and 23Gb on the drive I'm trying to install it onto.

Can't find any info on this on the web

Help!

Andy
