Tim, Exmerge should work well in this scenario for mailboxes, but you'll have to use Outlook to export the PFs. You'll lose SIS when you import all that data, but with a small number of clients, that shouldn't be a big deal. I actually read all those doc's again yesterday. Most of that info is for migrating from one server to another when both servers are running. This is not my case. I'm using the same server with new hard drives. I like the NEWSID program. I've used it for years but lately it has been dying on me during the sid change. I found that removing unneeded profiles helps complete the sid change but I don't feel like it's very reliable. I do use sysprep but was hoping to avoid it with something a little faster. Thanks again, TJ -----Original Message----- From: Danny [mailto:nocmonkey@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2005 11:29 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Re: Exmerge Question http://www.MSExchange.org/ On Thu, 13 Jan 2005 11:14:10 -0900, Tim Jordan <tim@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > http://www.MSExchange.org/ > > I'm doing a server replacment this weekend. You could change the SID's: http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/newsid.shtml Or downlod sysprep from Microsoft. ...D ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: tim@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: glara@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
