RPC/HTTP or VPN would be my suggestion. Opening the ports required without
these technologies (MAPI client) would pretty much negate the firewalls

Subject: [exchangelist] Exchange on the Internet

Hi All
I am considering exposing my exchange server (SBS2000) onto the Internet.
I have a few users (remote users) who would really benefit from being able
to connect Outlook to exchange and access the shared folders/ calendars etc.
I am wondering whether to purchase and set up a VPN with the users or simply
open ports on the firewall to the exchange server.
All comments greatfully received.
