Hi Christina, I just had the same problem last week. I did an off line defrag this weekend and reduces the database by almost 4 GBs, which will give me enough time to upgrade to Enterprise. Take a look at this KB file http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;813051 it allows you to temporarily increase your 16GB limit by 1 GB so you can mount your store and prepare for either an upgrade or a off line defrag. Hope this helps Rick -----Original Message----- From: Christina [mailto:sosdian@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, November 10, 2004 5:00 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Exchange Database Reach ed Max 16GB unmountable http://www.MSExchange.org/ How may i reduced the size of the Exchange Server Database in order to mount the drive? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: rsambhi@xxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
