Greg, Exchange 2003 Enterprise, right? If so, YES you are correct. Standard version is good for a max of 16G but not Enterprise. Can't remember the actual number (8TB?) or more likely limitations of your hardware storage capacity. Also do offline defragmentation of the Database. This is just a temp solution , the permanent solution would be to upgrade your licence to enterprise which will give 20 stores (20 * 16GB).
