Turn on Terminal Services on you MSX server (set to administration mode). Closest I have been able to come up with at this point. --Joe -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Horton [mailto:Jeff.Horton@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, November 14, 2002 11:19 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Exchange Admin http://www.MSExchange.org/ Windows 2000 Admin Tools are incompatible with XP and will not function properly so you're kind of SOL. I'm not too sure about System Manager though but without Users and Computers what's the point really? Thanks, Jeff -----Original Message----- From: Eric Lanyon [mailto:ELanyon@xxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, November 14, 2002 1:48 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Exchange Admin http://www.MSExchange.org/ I have a really stupid question. I want to admin my Exchange 2000 server from my desktop. If memory serves, I need to install a portion of Exchange onto my local machine. When I do that, it says I don't have Windows 2000 Admin Tools loaded, but I do. Am I going about it wrong? My PC is WinXP Pro. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: jeff.horton@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: exchlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
