You don't have to install W2K on another domain, on the same server install NT as BDC. promote it to PDC, one u check everything is fine , login scripts etc. then upgrade the OS to W2K install Active directory with same domain Name. Test ur Active Directory and then use forestprep/domainprep and then install the ADC and follow the steps. Remember this method is time consuming but with virtually 0% downtime.
