What's the actual problem? That you can't get the list into the GAL? You certainly can put it into the GAL, as well as have a particular address book created just for that (similar to 5.5 ABV's). 50,000 is not that big. It's been done and can be done. Third party apps? Things like simplesynch would be a good fit for that if you don't know how to script it or want more functionality. We had an external address list from another company that are on 5.5. Since moving over we cant view the list but can search for a name only. The list is over 50,000 long so it's quite impracticle. I know this is because of the way AD views objects. But is there any 3rd party software that can resolve this? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: al.mulnick@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist
