To avoid the mangled non-RFC compliant Exchange InetOrgPerson stuff, I ran Exchange 2003 forest prep on the Exchange 2000 server, which was successful. However, Exchange 2003 domain prep on the same server failed with the following error message: [18:14:14] Entering CAtomDomainCT::ScInitializeExchangeAtomWithCtxInfo [18:14:14] Leaving CAtomDomainCT::ScInitializeExchangeAtomWithCtxInfo [18:14:14] Entering CAtomPermissions::ScInitializeExchangeAtomWithCtxInfo [18:14:14] Leaving CAtomPermissions::ScInitializeExchangeAtomWithCtxInfo [18:14:14] Entering CCompDomainPrep::ScSetup [18:14:14] Entering CBaseComponent::ScSetup [18:14:14] Beginning DomainPrep of Microsoft Exchange Domain Preparation component -- ID:62208 -- [18:14:14] Entering CBaseComponent::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Entering CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Entering CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScStopAtomServices [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScStopAtomServices [18:14:14] Entering CBaseAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Entering CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Entering CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScStopAtomServices [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScStopAtomServices [18:14:14] Entering CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseComponent::ScPrepareForFileCopy [18:14:14] Entering CBaseComponent::ScAddFilesToQueue [18:14:14] Entering CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScAddFilesToQueue [18:14:14] Preparing to copy files for Domain-level containers [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScAddFilesToQueue [18:14:14] Entering CBaseAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScAddFilesToQueue [18:14:14] Preparing to copy files for Domain-level permissions [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseAtom(Domain-level permissions)::ScAddFilesToQueue [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseComponent::ScAddFilesToQueue [18:14:14] Beginning DomainPrep of Domain-level containers sub-component [18:14:14] Entering CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemove [18:14:14] Entering CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScStopAtomServices [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScStopAtomServices [18:14:14] Entering CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemove [18:14:14] Entering CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemoveRegistryKeys [18:14:14] Removing registry entries for Domain-level containers [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemoveRegistryKeys [18:14:14] Removing Active Directory objects for Domain-level containers [18:14:14] Entering CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemoveShortcuts [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemoveShortcuts [18:14:14] Removing IIS Metabase objects for Domain-level containers [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemove [18:14:14] Entering CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScDeleteAtomServices [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScDeleteAtomServices [18:14:14] Leaving CBaseServiceAtom(Domain-level containers)::ScRemove [18:14:14] Entering CAtomDomainCT::ScAddDSObjects [18:14:14] Creating Active Directory objects for Domain-level containers [18:14:14] Creating Proxy Object container [18:14:14] Entering ScCreateDomainProxyCT [18:14:14] Checking for existing system proxy container [18:14:14] Container exists;
