Exchange 2000 OWA

I have a front end OWA box that randomly gets the 500 internal server
error. I tried everything I saw in MS articles for this
The front end box is on a DMZ.

I'm looking to apply KB890066 (ms04-035) to my Exchange 2000 server.
Does anyone know if there are any known issues with this? I have
applied to it to test server with no ill affects but am still a bit
cautious applying it.
