Thanks a lot Matt for the valuable information.
I would like to share my experience with the list members though.
I tried something that didn't work. and Still two technicians from our
organization are trying hard to get it done properly if they could. I tried
Windows 2000 backup to backup
Drive M and System State on the HD then transfered the backup file to the
new server
and restored it. A couple of situations happened here :
1- Drive M didn't appear on the restore menu ! so I figured out that it
can't be backed up while
the backup utility shows it and allows me to check it .
2- The new server stopped functioning because the System State forced me to
backup the registry
and boot information.
Hope some of you out there will learn something . I will get back to you
with the result of the
two technicians work tomorrow.
Thank you again Matt.

As far as transfering Exchange data to another new server, if you dont want the new server to "join" the existing one, then just export all the user data to .PST files using ExMerge - it's on the Ex2K CD.
