It won't last, were all one big happy family and just need to vent every now and then, I for one respect everyone on this list even though I have only met a few of you in person. I have to agree with you the cert.exam.mcse group is out of control and Microsoft would be well advised to shut it down, but I think they are worried that the members of the MCNGP team will just start posting in the other groups, the Microsoft.public.exchange2000 groups are much better than most of the other Microsoft public groups. Dellanno [mailto:ddellanno@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, June 28, 2003 7:05 PM To: [ExchangeList] http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi Stephen, I completely understand where both Charles and yourself are coming from BUT don't forget there are many, many engineers out here that are NOT as fortunate like others who have the exposure to experience of a large enterprise structure, unlimited hardware and software resources and probably and incredible mentoring relationship environment they were in. There are others, unfortunately, that do not have this and are trying their best in their own way to be brave enough to ask "A" question or to find those resources that they were not aware of, as obviously it shows in their question. I agree that your answer had no malice or negative intent but what I think Mark is steer towards is to use this forum as a center for "any question" no matter how small or big it is. If you can answer it, great. If not, no worries, someone might pick it up, I don't think there is a time limit to answer all or the questions. I bet everyone here in this forum has some kind of hard story but that should not stop us to provide help to other engineers. This is a good thing, hopefully the engineer that you help will help another engineer with the same question and so on and so on and so on. I honestly like the way both MSExchange.org and ISAServer.org have been answering questions, purely professionally. Two thumbs up from here! 'golf clap' :-) Actually, this is the first time, I've seen a flame from these site...is just one....this one. I hope it will not last or continue but if you really would like a flame newsgroup and my personal opinion the worst newsgroup I have ever seen so far for Microsoft is this one, talk about was of threads: Newsgroup Server News.microsoft.com Newsgroup Name Microsoft.public.cert.exam.mcse The group is controlled by these guys http://www.mcngp.tk The MCNGP Team - We're here to help Stephen, I hope this is not the direction you would like this forum to be. Ok, that my two dimes and nickels worth, Dave -----Original Message----- From: Stephen Hartley [mailto:support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, June 28, 2003 5:42 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Exchange 2000 http://www.MSExchange.org/ The moron who answered at least had the common courtesy to pick up a manual & read some white papers & sought some peer support (if you call Microsoft Training peer support) before even considering asking a question on here. Then I was at least able to formulate an intelligent question! I also do not have a problem with Mark Fuggat advertising his training courses on here. After all, part of the learning process with exchange (other than this forum) is classroom training & installing from scratch. Maybe if Dustin took one of these courses, he would not need to ask such a question? Also Mr Moffat, where do you get "flaming" from my post? I certainly did not use any derogatory comments, perhaps a little dry humour? Haven't you ever been stuck while learning something as involved as Exchange.
