You can't demote a DC while Exchange is on it.

Backup Exchange box. (Twice - to different media, JIC....) Or swing it
to another box. (Google Ed Crowley swing method... I think I spelled
that right)

Move ALL roles (pdc emulator, etc) and demote.

For good measure, I would flatten and completely reload the 2003 box
before putting Exchange back on it.... Just for safety.

It would be a good time to upgrade your PDC emulator to 2k3.

By the way.... Are you saying that your 2003 box is your PDC emulator
and you are at a 2003 domain level? You will need to upgrade your 2K
box before you do any of this if that is the case.

http://www.MSExchange.org/

I have two AD boxes,

1 - Windows 2000 Server

1 - Windows 2003 Server w/Exchange 2003 Server, DNS, WINS, DHCP

File Replication issue (eventide 13508) shows up in the logs. The rest
of the logs don't show any major or minor errors at the moment. DNS,
Application, System, etc.

I would like to move DNS, WINS, and DHCP to the Windows 2000 Server, and
promote it to be the primary box while demoting the Exchange box and
making it a standalone all together. I wonder if anyone can suggest the
best way to go about this since?

Thanks

Andrew
