Errm, unless you've typo'd your message you appear to have set the limits to 2Mb (2048Kb). 20Mb would 20480Kb. -----Original Message----- From: exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Phil Marcum Sent: 07 August 2008 07:00 To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues; exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ExchangeList] Email and attachment size issues I have a single Exchange 2007 server and I'm having trouble figuring out why I'm unable to receive messages with attachments from the Internet. I've increased the sizes at the following to 2048KB: Global Settings\Transport Settings Receive Collector Limit Send Collector Limit MaxLimit (User mailbox) Sender & Recipient Size Limits ADSIEdit - Global Settings\Message Delivery I've done all of this and I'm still unable to receive email and attachments over 5MB. Here's a snippet of my NDR: This message exceeds the maximum message size allowed. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please make the message smaller -- by removing attachments, for example -- and try sending it again, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator. Me@xxxxxxxxxxxx #550 5.2.3 RESOLVER.RST.RecipSizeLimit; message too large for this recipient ##rfc822;me@xxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:rfc822%3Bme@xxxxxxxxxxxx> The size of this particular message is 7MB and if I download the message from gmail to my laptop I'm able to forward it internally to my users. I've read up on content conversion and therefore understand that this 7MB file could be increased by 33%. This is why I increased everything to 20MB. I've also been advised that the limits have been raised at the spam filter to 20MB. I don't believe this so I'm trying to make sure I've done everything I'm suppose to on my end before I get into with anyone else. Any responses appreciated.
