Hi everyone! I have an Exchange 2000 box, latest service packs on Win2k with latest service packs. I want to defrag our Exchange Databases using the ESEUTIL /D, as it says it only has 9 megs of free space in the Event viewer after running it's nightly defrag, but if I have to repair the database, I just found this on MS support site and was wondering if anyone with a similar environment as I have had any problems using the ESEUTIL /P. SYMPTOMS When you run the eseutil /p command to repair an Exchange 2000 database that is corrupted, the Eseutil utility causes an access violation error and cannot complete the database repair. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, Microsoft recommends that you use the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 version of the Eseutil utility (Eseutil.exe) and the Exchange 2003 version of the Ese.dll file to repair the corrupted database. Contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 version of the Eseutil.exe and the Ese.dll files. For a complete list of Microsoft Product Support Services phone numbers and information about support costs, visit the following Microsoft Web site: Also, I don't have enough disk space to defrag the EDB's. I've read I can copy the EDB's to a drive that has efficient disk space, but once I do the defrag on the EDB that I copied to the other drive with efficient space, do I have to remove the EDB from the drive that didn't have efficient space before moving the defragmented EDB? Just really nervous doing this, so bare with me if I sound like an amateur as I've never done this on a Exchange box.
