There is a limitation of the number of objects but can't recall what that number is. Most people use sub DL's for management anyway. When you upgrade to Exchange 2000 you will have a 5000 object limit. Windows 2003 domain will lift that restriction but the limit to the number of objects is still how you can manage it.
