Hi John The simplest way to do this is to run the Exchange Optimizer and you can then move the Exchange DB's to the new drive, now, the Optimizer will shutdown your Exchange services when it runs so make sure all your users are offline. Hope this helps Mark Fugatt MCT, MCSE, Microsoft Exchange MVP Pentech Office Solutions Inc Tel: 585 586 3890 Cell: 585 576 4750 Fax: 585 249 0316 www.4mcts.com www.exchangetrainer.com -----Original Message----- From: John Kingsford [mailto:jkford@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 13, 2003 11:18 PM To: [ExchangeList] http://www.MSExchange.org/ I am currently running Exchange 5.5 on NT 4.0. Both the OS and the Exchange were installed onto the C-drive. The C-drive is almost full, but I have free space of about 4Gig on the D-drive of which I want to move some files if possible from the c-drive to this empty space on the D-drive. My question is, if it is possible to move Exchange from one Partition to another? If it is possible can some one points me in the right direction Please. Any help will be highly appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: mark@xxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
