Disappearing Messages

I have a W2k Server running Exchange 2000 SP3. Sporadically, portions of my
clients inbox disappear. I have them shut down Outlook and bring it back up and
the "missing" message reappear. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a
long-term solution to the problem?
