You have to remember that the message size will become much larger, once the
binary attachment has been encoded into text.

A message with a 7Mb attachment could easily grow to a 10Mb message for transit
over SMTP

Subject: [exchangelist] Delivery restrictions

http://www.MSExchange.org/

I set 10240 KB in the sending and receiving message size under delivery
restrictions but when I tried to send a message with 7MB of attachment, I got
an error message telling me that the message is larger than the current system
limit. It seems that it is still following the default limit I set which is 5
MB.

What can I do to solve this problem?

Thanks.
