Once again answered my own question. Some how the IP address of the SMTP
server which is NLB was statically set to a raw IP instead of all unassigned.

We just replaced the 5.5 IMC with a 2003 SMTP connector and now mail that is
coming in is getting stuck in the deferred mail queue. Any idea's? I've never
seen this.
