I don't see any issues with this. We actually did it here after yrs of
records not being scavenged and did not see any issues. Your static
records that were manually created will not be purged because static
entries do not have the option "delete record when it becomes stale"
checked.

Subject: [exchangelist] DNS - Any experts out there?

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi all,

I have noticed that scavenging is not enabled on our Active Directory
DNS servers. As a result, there are a lot of old records from years
ago.
(result being from techs not properly removing systems from the domain).

Are there any experts that can help me?

I want to scavenge these old records but I don't know what the impact
could be on our network.

Thanks,
