I have no answer to this but it is very interesting. I was on the Sunbelt site for and there is a heated discussion some yrs ago abt running Ex5.5 on a BDC. Microsoft advise against it but a lot of people doing it. For Exchange 2000 it needs to run on active directory. Not sure whether Microsoft advise to run this on a DC, if Ex2k already install on a DC and then demote it to a normal member.
